Painting :
The theme of the contest will be “TIGER”or “CONSERVATION
OF WILDLIFE”.
There will be three groups in this category:
-
GROUP A: Children studying in 5th, 6th
and 7th standards.
-
GROUP B: Children studying in 8th, 9th
and 10th standards.
-
GROUP C:
Special children.
Three awards and three certificates
of Merit in each group will be awarded. A school can send
four participants in each group. Only drawing paper will
be provided by the organizers. The participant should bring
their own materials for painting, boards, pencils, pens,
etc. There will not be any restriction for the medium of
painting. The duration is two hours.
Quiz:
The quiz will be conducted in English only. This will be
a team event consisting of two participants. Questions pertaining
to Indian Wildlife (birds, mammals, reptiles, insects),
Conservation of wildlife (flora & fauna), Wildlife Sanctuaries
of India, Books & authors, personalities involved in
wildlife and conservation activities.
There will be a preliminary round (written) which will consist
of fifty objective type questions and time allotted is THIRTY
minutes. The top six teams will qualify for the final
round (oral).
English
Essay:
The topic for the contest will be “CONSERVATION
OF WILD LIFE”.
A School can send two participants for this contest. Only
paper will be provided by the organizers. The participants
should bring their own writing material and board. The essay
is restricted to 500 words only. The duration is
ONE hour.
Kannada
Essay:
The topic for the contest will be “VANYA JEEVI SAMRAKSHANE”.
A School can send two participants for this contest. Only
paper will be provided by the organizers. The participants
should bring their own writing material and board. The essay
is restricted to maximum 500 words. The duration
is ONE hour.
Skits:
This will be a team event consisting of minimum four
participants and maximum ten participants. Only stage, mike
and lights will be provided by the organizers. Special effect
/ additional spot lights / make-up man / costumes should
be arranged by the participating team. The costume, make-up,
music and properties, though not compulsory might help in
gaining additional points.
The skit may be presented in Kannada, English, or Hindi.
The skit may also be presented in the form of a mime. The
teams can select various topics like conservation of wildlife,
deforestation, save tiger, save trees, save water, save
environment, man & animal conflict, prohibition of sale
of forest and wild animal/birds and their products etc.
The maximum time allotted is TEN minutes.
